Silke Sturms Werke zeigen, dass Kunst nicht rebellisch, laut und wild sein muss, um zu wirken und um den Betrachter in den Bann zu ziehen.

Märchenhafte Frauen, die feinfühlig romantisch in die Welt schauen, vielleicht mit einem Hang zur Melancholie, das sind ihre Lieblingsthemen. Mit einer gnadenlos schönen Farbintensität verwischt die Malerin Phantasie und Wirklichkeit.

Over the last years STURMs creative work was characterised by a continuous transformation. This transformation is demonstrated in the new subjects of her works, which are an aggravation of creative declaration  of her often large -sized pieces at the same time.

While STURMs art used to be predominantly abstract and complex , taking a muted position her recent works are rather specific and descriptive. She changed her style completely and now makes the core statement:
